Dr. Mary Benz is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, but has lived in California, Kentucky, and Indiana before settling in the Chicago area. She attended Purdue University and received a B.S. in Biology in 1986. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May of 1990 where she also received the Upjohn award for proficiency in veterinary clinical medicine. She has been a full time veterinarian in the Chicago area since graduation.
Dr. Benz has special interests in internal medicine - particularly oncology, endocrinology, and feline medicine. She regularly attends continuing education seminars to expand her knowledge. She is a member of AVMA, AAHA, ISVMA and the CVMA. Dr. Benz is happily married and has two wonderful children. They have two dogs and three cats. Dr. Benz spends most of her spare time with her family and pets but also enjoys reading, quilting, and cooking.
Dr. Nancy Blondin is originally from Batesville, IN but has lived in Bartlett since graduation from veterinary school at Purdue University in 2001. Dr. Blondin has special interest in dermatology, ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current with changes in veterinary medicine. She is a member of the AVMA, CVMA and ISVMA organizations. Dr. Blondin is happily married and has three wonderful children - two girls and one boy. They have three miniature dachshunds and four fish. She spends a lot of her free time tending her garden when she's not playing with her kids or reading.
Dr. Shirley Sternberg was born in Chicago and attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She graduated with highest honors in 2000 and has been practicing in the Chicago area since that time. Dr. Sternberg enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, especially dermatology and internal medicine. She is happily married with 3 children. Their family shares their home with a mixed breed dog named George and 2 cats - Princess and Momo.
Cindy was raised on a dairy farm in Crystal Lake and now lives in Woodstock, IL. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Agriculture Management from McHenry County College. She has been a veterinary technician since 1992. Her interests include photography, cooking and country music. She really enjoys herding breed animals such as Australian Shepherds, Blue Heelers and Border Collies.
Maria joined the Randall Oaks team in June 2003. A lifelong love and involvement of all animals has inspired her to work in the veterinary field. She enjoys assisting the veterinarians in all aspects of the practice to gain a complete understanding of all areas. When she is not busy at work, Maria enjoys the outdoors, painting, music and spending time with her husband and three children. In addition, her "furry" family consists of three cats and a beautiful Great Pyrenees.
Colleen joined the Randall Oaks family in 2004. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University. She is married and has a son. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, biking and swimming. Colleen and her family share their home with a guinea pig, an adorable Bernese Mountain Dog, and an adorable Newfoundland!
Marisa began her career in veterinary medicine in May 1990. She joined the Randall Oaks team in June 2006. She has worked in all aspects of veterinary medicine from reception to surgery. She has 2 bunnies and a guinea pig in addition to her canine and feline family.

Kim grew up in the Northwest suburbs with a life long love of all animals. She worked for many years in healthcare and business before deciding that working with animals was what she really wanted to do. Kim joined the Randall Oaks team in November 2007. In her spare time she volunteers with Illinois Doberman Rescue and enjoys reading and cross-stitching. Kim and her husband share their home with five pugs and a cat.
