Pet Spotlight

Say hello to Callie

Then...   ...& now!

Adopted back in February 2016, this sweet little girl steals everyone’s heart – I mean, just look at her – cuteness overload!

Her mix was a mystery which kept everyone guessing, and since no one could agree, her family decided to get her genetic testing done. The results showed the following breeds…Australian shepherd, beagle, golden retriever and chow – her owners call her a “true Heinz 57!”

Being young and full of energy, Callie loves to go for walks and/or to the dog park. On walks she is on bunny patrol, and at the park she loves to play with other dogs (preferably her size) – she will run in circles around them.

She is great on car rides too, usually just falling asleep.

For fun, Callie enjoys a good game of tug-of-war, playing with her squeaky toys and eating her chew bones. She loves to watch “TV” – she hangs over the back of the couch & watches the bunnies in the back yard…sometimes even falling asleep during the show.

Callie does have her moments – she likes to steal socks – she doesn’t tear them up, she just takes them. She is very sneaky. But on the other hand, she also takes all those things she shouldn’t have to her bed…so sneaky, but predictable. Her family affectionately calls her “klepto.”

Callie lives with 3 cats (Irv, Merv & Gemmie) which she would love to play with, but they prefer no contact. Irv tolerates her the most, but he has his limits. She will also chase Merv because he’s the one who runs (game on).

In her down time, Callie likes to sleep in the recliner – usually on her back with all four feet in the air! And at night, she is happy to sleep in anyone’s bed.
